about me

Hi, my name's Zeke! I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from San Antonio, TX. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 2017 with a major in Communication Design and a minor in Art History.

As a kid I would make comic books that I would try to trade with my classmates for random junk and loose change. I guess you could say not much has changed since then! Drawing and making things is just was I do for fun. These days I work mostly with India ink and Photoshop. My art is influenced by classic comic book artists like John Buscema and Jack Kirby, as well as by manga and Ukiyo-e prints.

When I'm not drawing, I'm usually practicing guitar, playing Super Smash Bros., catching up on the latest NBA news, browsing Reddit, or getting lost in the weird part of YouTube.

My work has been featured in the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Exhibition 2017 and on the cover of the San Antonio Current magazine. Currently I'm working on a graphic novel about John the Baptist, called The Voice in the Desert, which will be published by Pauline Books & Media in 2019.

If you'd like to ask me any questions, or if you want to reach out to me about an editorial illustration or freelance design project, please give me a call or send me an email! I'll get back to you ASAP.
